By the way..haven't heard from MU Mystery Coach lately. Has he jumped ship? Also Jason Krayl MIA for a few days..though..with his job ..he may not surface again until the MAAC is built (in other words.. it could be a while)

All options should include:Stop paying any and all taxes to WLB, run an all stundent slate next election, call on all the local trade unions 50,000,000 dollars of work between the dorm and the MAC .When will our Freeholders do something other then go to jail,Monmouth County Gov is a joke. WLB Mayor should defend and explain this action in front of ALL the TAX PAYORS.

I like the idea I just read about a student/public boycott of WLB business places. It's time the majority gets it opinions heard on this.

Tony, something's GOT to get done on this - we can't just sit here and take it. Please let us know what you hear is our best approach.

I read your story about the MAC getting voted down and had to just shake my head at the stupidity of that board member's comment.

Douglas Bostwick -- "I live just a block away, and I know what's going on there".

Hay, Dougie, it's no secret -- MU is building a new parking lot, and wants to build a new field house. It's not CIA material -- They're not enriching uranium at MU!

What an assinine statement! No wonder we have such difficulty dealing with these people.

I'm really not sure what your (MU fans) best approach might be in this matter. I have made some suggestions and others have as well.

Eventually it will all come down to how MU handles it, and what road it takes.

I feel sorry for the students, alumni and the administrators of MU after the latest vote against the MAAC. I was not able to have the experience of furthering my education and going to college, however I do get to come to many of the MU home basketball games and enjoy watching a fine program in action. While there I get to see the enthusiasm that today's students, alumni, and many residents have for their university and athletic events.

I also have to drive past many homes in the immediate vicinity of the campus and can't help but to think that for most of these people to have such nice homes and properties that many of them must have attended college themselves. I'm sure that even if they were quiet and not very outgoing that after a while the college life caught up with them and they started to get into their school's spirit and enjoyed going to or participating in the athletic events. They probably didn't think much about the local community, after all those communities survived the short periods of traffic after events. If they went to large universities the traffic problems were much larger than MU will probably ever see, yet they also survived and many of the residents may have even attended the events.

I would think that the administrators at MU haved kept the surrounding community's concerns in their plans and it seems that a couple of the board members believe the MU needs to improve some facilities to be a better class institution. I would hope that the other board members will forget some of their self interests and remember that many students and residents will gain many more positive experiences in their lives than the few traffic problems that may occur initially, but can be worked out after they see if there is an impact.

I'm really looking forward to seeing MU basketball in a modern arena rather than a dimly lit gym.

P.S - GO HAWKS

It is terrible that the incompetent "WLB zoning board three" were able to have such a disasrtous voice in this MAAC decision. It would appear that Mr. Bostwick is geographically challenged, he lives at 15 Munroe which is four blocks from MU and not the one block he stated at the zoning borad meeting. Come Mr. Bostwick, your confusion seems widespread.
