Power in the Post - Blake Hamilton or Corey Albano - PICK ONE

Corey Albano 1,599 career points (4th MU in D1) NEC champs '96
Blake Hamilton 1,433 career points (6th MU in D1) NEC champs '04

Am not even including "The Chief" Alex Blackwell ('90-92) in here.. because..he's still the best power front court player ever at MU (1,749 career points in three years)

Corey Albano was a more complete player, Blake a better athlete. I'd have to say Corey.

Tony keep these matchups coming, and can we get creative...

Walk-on versus walk-on

small forwards

athletes

work ethic

talent but not production

etc, etc.

Think this is a very good idea...

Yes..we'll bring a few more of these to the table now and then. We were kicking a few around the office tonight...MU has another week off in a while....

Who would anyone want to take the last shot..Blake or Corey?

No question, Corey. At that time he developed into one of the top post players in the Northeast regarding of conference. Blake was a great player, but no Corey.

As great as Blake was, Corey has to be the pick. Blake could rip off some highlight reel dunks, but Corey was much more reliable and better defensively. The thing I will always remember about Blake, as great as he was, is when MU lost to Wagner his senior year 63-60 at home in the NEC Tournament as the #1 seed. Granted Blake played well, 17 points, and if the Hawks hit one more three (they shot 8-28) they probably win, but that memory lingers. Corey is the pick.
