Grim Stat for MU fans

Looking at the NEC web site..going back through the '97-98 season no regular season champion or co-champion has split its first four league games....

Hey Tony, look back at the stat that says no NEC team ever went on the road during the entire NEC tourney and won the whole thing? I don't put a whole lot of stock in stats!

And MU defied history by winning the last two NEC games last year on the road.

I didn't say it couldn't happen..I was just putting it out there. But they now trail first place FDU by three games in the loss column.

True..it's early and they have two games with FDU. Soooo...I guess you're rooting for RMU then Saturday to presumably tighten things up.

RMU..has an uphill climb now...as MU will if it loses Saturday. I'm not a beleiver though in LIU. Is this league THAT bad they can win it? Am I selling them short?

Of course I'm running out of teams to beleive in and MU is treading towards that list.

SHU?...I have to start taking them seriously I guess.

Seems like a tough loss last night, my dad was completely disgusted with the defense and the overall effort of the team. Other than that, he did not have much to say.

I wouldnt be concerning ourselves about a 14 or 15 seed, but maybe about getting a top 4 seed for the NEC tourney at this point.

This team has a load of talent, but has some def. areas they need to address to be a championship team. Hopefully they can rebound tomorrow, and go on another mini or not so mini-run. This is not the end of the world, but very good teams not only have to protect their home court, but also steal some on the road, in order to win a conference title. I'd like to see Marques get this team on his back again and will them to the top of the NEC. In my humble opinion, he is the only player on this team (at this point, for the Jhamar Youngblood adorers out there, bc he is certainly on the verge and a great talent) capable of carrying this team night in and night out. Best of luck to them tomorrow.

From Jason " wouldnt be concerning ourselves about a 14 or 15 seed, but maybe about getting a top 4 seed for the NEC tourney at this point."

Jason - you got that right, and good point about Marques, too. He seems to be more of a quiet leader. Maybe should be more vocal and even more demanding on the floor of the ball, and his teamates, than he is.

And Jason - don't stay here on your next trip to Vermont!!!

I played with Marques I know what he's like, I mean he needs to dominate games and take over with his play not vocally.
