she loses every single year! What has she done to lift this program? People bash Dave, yet he won 3 NEC rings in 6 years, and he's not even a great coach. Baxter cant win the big ones, and cant get over the hump. DISGRACEFUL, if you ask me.

Let's rant about firing Dave, with three NEC championships in six years, and six winning seasons before this year, but the ladies get a pass why? Hmm...something smells awry in the state of New Jersey destination WLB!

Michele's first two full years of her four-year contract ... 14-14, 11-7 last year (lost first round NECs) ..this year - 18-13, 10-8...(won first round NECs over wounded Q pac))...

There are all Michele's players as she was recruiting coordinator for Jackie DeVane who she took over for...

Aside from Niamh Dwyer - a very young team last year sophs and frosh - this year, juniors and sophs...

Couldn't crack though vs. the top teams (1-7 vs. LIU, RMU, SHU, Q pac)....

Next year I'd like to see them at least make a run at first place and go deeper ih the NECs..they need a legit double figure scorer..at least one could be Brianne, Marisa, Jen, or two or all three.....

Look for the incoming JUCO guard to make an impact..I'll get some stats on her in a few days .

Basically now they need to finish games which was the big problem this year (tonight for instance!) vs. the more experienced teams.

Disgraceful??? Subpar?? Taking a VERY young team to the verge of the final fits these categories? -- I think not. This team OVERACHIEVED -- Michelle and company have to get props for that.

And as far as not winning the game last night-- check the stat sheet -- SHU NO fouls called on them until the last minute or so of the 1st half -- SHU only 5 pts off of FGs in the second half, 16 from fouls -- Not saying NEC women's game refs are biased -- they just stink and cost people close games as a result.

This team played well in the tournament, the players gave it their all despite some injuries, they left it all out on the floor. The calls went against them down the stretch, and they fell to an experienced team last night. The group gained experience for next year, I like their chances to make a run next year.

Sacred heart did not win that game last night..the refs won it for them. How can you shoot 9% from the field & win. The refs wanted Amanda to go to the finals & they made her. Go RMU!

This MU team need some plays. Motion offense alone just can't cut it against well-coached temas!
Great Tourney run for the girls.

To person who raked the refs: while the foul totals were one-sided I, for one, never blame refs unless it is maybe a final blown call at the end of a game.

If you followed the game you know -

1. MU could have, should have built more than a nine - point lead with five minutes to go as SHU was tossing up enough bricks to build a new arena, and

2. even down the stretch Hawks could not get it done on offense..turnovers, missed FTs, etc.

Not taking anything away from MU's effort, but I am not blaming the refs.

As I stated earlier, MU for next year needs to learn how to put teams away.

They could have won going away last night.

Agreed that they need to put folks away. But if you can find anyone who was at the SHU game in person that doesn't think the refs had a tremendous influence on the outcome, I'd be amazed.

tony the team has enough talent to win the nec playin nothing but man on d will not cut it everybody has other schemes, diffent looks.2-3-3-2zones. motion offence lets the wrong kids shoot at crunch time they have go to girls that will get it done but plays r not run just for thier strenght. last year it was one girl they have at least 3 strong different options to choose at different positions just needto set up plays

I know I'm a little late but I was in florida watchin baseball among other things over spring break. Anyway, this is a very young team (losing only one senior), so watch out next year. Michelle is more of a game coach then Calloway anyday.
