It's a seeded field..so MU will probably draw UND or Ga. Tech to start...

Though some people objected to my prediction earlier, I see an 0-3 start..

The difference between this year and next year will be - many are upset now because this team was thought to have a chance (by me included) to do so well ...

Next year the outlook will be 7th-8th..etc. So anything they do positive will be scanned in a different light - as long as there appears to be some light at the end of the tunnel...

Wow, stacked is correct. Monmouth will be seeded 7th at best, possibly 8th.

Seeds as I see it are:

1) Notre Dame, 2) Georgia Tech, 3)Wichita State, 4) Winthrop, 5) Baylor, 6) Charlotte, 7/8) Monmouth/Ill-Chicago

The 3 and 4 seeds could be reversed, but that is how I see it right now.

As much as everyone may hate these games I really love them. One of these years we are going to steal 1 or 2 of these games and Dave is going to look like a genius. We've held our own in a lot of these games, its all a matter of closing the deal when the bigger teams turn up the pressure. We tend to fold under the pressure and give the game away.

This is a pretty exciting non-conference schedule coming up. I really think it helps to prepare the team for the regular conference. In the past MU was the one playing the tough D1 schools, now other NEC competitors are getting into the mix, making it a much more competitive conference compared to the way it was a few years ago.

Regarding the MAC, I'm still not convinced we'll be there in 2008-2009! I'll believe it when I'm sitting in it!
