What do MU fans want here, A Mt or SHU win? What would be better for the Hawks? One could argue that if SHU won and the Hawks faced them coming off a huge win and 4-0 conference start, the Hawks may catch SHU off guard, but one could also argue that they would be so hyped up after starting 4-0 that it would be a bad game for MU. What does everyone else think? I just want to see MU come out like gangbusters and hold SHU in the 50's and theyll be fine.
I guess you want SHU to lose. This way if MU beats them MU is one game up with the tiebreaker. If MU loses Thursday they are only one game behind with a Feb.23 rematch at Boylan.
I could be wrong (that's always my qualifier) but I don't think SHU will be in contention for first place at the end.
I think it'll come down to MU, RMU, and FDU.
Agreed Tony. Right now, I see it as:
1-2. RMU and MU
3. FDU
4. Mount St. Marys
5. Sacred Heart
6. LIU
7. CCSU
8. Quinippiac
9. Wagner
10. St. Francis NY
11. St. Francis PA
How do you rank it as of today?
I would rank CCSU higher ..they always seem to be in the hunt, especially late in the season ..Historically Quinnipaic plays no defense (appears to be true this year) and I don't think will make the NEC Tournament. I guess we'll have a better idea on SHU and Qpac after this weekend. I am making the trip.
I wasn't overly impressed with the Mount to be honest, even though they played tough and hung there with MU. From their point of view, they should have benefited more from MU's turnovers than what developed.
I think Wagner can make at least the NECs.
I look for Qpac, SFNY, and SFPA to be 9-11 (maybe in that order) at this time.
