Did anyone notice the MU mystery fan on ESPN???
I can't believe I did.
As I was watching on ESPN the final outs of the Phillies 10,000th loss Sunday night.. the ESPN cameras were panning the crowd and -as Chase Ultley was batting with two away in the ninth - there was a male fan in a Monmouth University Basketball shirt standing and clapping, etc.
Ah..nothing like national publicity for MU!!!
Anyway..wonder who that was and if he sees this blog he would be so gracious as to identify himself and tell us what it was like to be part of .....well.......dubious history.

dutch gaitley monmouth center
I suppose it could have been... though I didn't immediately recognize the fan.....I have been told Dutch is playing summer ball down in the Philly area ...
Cen he pitch? If so he should report to Pat Gillick immediately..
tony what is the progress of lakia barber will she be able to play this year she looked like she was comin on towards the end n would help greatly
I believe she had surgery (ACL) at the end of the 2006-2007 season.
I would say - unoffically - my opinion - she is "questionable" for this year and may red shirt.
If she is not going to be 100 percent I think that would be the way to go...
MU has a lot of depth and inter changeable parts at this stage...including last year's very promising frosh Brooke McElroy up front.
...and Michelle thinks at least one of the in coming front court rookies may be able to help...
tony r they also looking to red shirt jimenez since they picked up the juco kid
Re: Jiminez. Haven't heard that one..I seriously doubt it ...Marissa a junior now....No need to disrupt her in mid career...
i was wonderin with the shoulder surgury if she would be ready also n be 100 percent or if they would just redshirt her
Re: Jiminez and Lakia Barber.. this from MU women's hoops SID EO:
She (Jiminez)recently had a procedure done on her shoulder that bothered her last year, but she should be all set to return for the season. LaKia is progressing ahead of schedule as well.
it's jimenez, not jiminez
Tony hows the mu womens basketball looking and any injury updates? Are they still contenders in the Nec?
