While I did not know Rodney that well, if any of you have any Rodney anecdotes, stories, or how he affected your lives, you may want to share them with us.
I will never forget that story the papers were running last year about the relationship with John Bunch and Rodney. Fabulous story and picture.
Not many people know what an excellent percussionist Rodney was.

An earlier blogger beat me to it -- the Philadelphia Inquirer story while MU was playing Villanova last year was great. It would be wonderful if you, Tony, could somehow find it and get permission to post it here as a tribute.
I'll always remember Rodney cutting down the net at FDU last year, as happy as any of the players, and apparently, as much a member of the team as any of the players.

The Philadelphia Inquirer story ran last March 19. For those of you with what is called a Nexus account you may access it in that fashion. That's all we can do for the moment.

Rodney was an inspiration to all who met him and was just a great young man with a positive mental attitude toward the future...it's a shame that his future was cut short...I'll always remember the suit and tie and the way he went about his business as MU manager. I'm so glad I had a chance to speak to him this season at a game and gave him a copy of last years highlight reel. If, you want to see some pictures of Rodney, as manager of MU, go to our website and look up sports and Monmouth University Basketball...Our sincere condolences to his family.

We have a website called
www.focusonnewjersey.com and cover most of the Hawk games each season. Go to sports..then MU Basketball 2005-6 and the Seton Hall game and the last photo of the gallery has Roodney sitting on the bench with the team. He's on the far left...there might be more photos of him but not sure....
