Complete and utter DISGRACE! Fire Calloway. Has Mike Shipman ever, ever played basketball before? He's a point guard? Disgrace.

Anyone hear post game interview with two FDU players, Harris and Tyler. They can play ball, but I have no idea how they can pass classes in college. They sounded like they had never been interviewed before, well not for basketball anyway.

Let me start with this caveat...I am not a Hawk basher, but a longtime fan and avid follower. I apologize now if I offend anyone or come across crass.

This was the most unprepared, careless, less purposeful game I think I have ever seen a decent Hawk team come out with in a meaningful game. Some kids on this team are clueless, and the basketball IQ is poor, I mean awfully poor. How about Delic, this kids game is all smoke and mirrors. When he doesnt make shots or faces adversity, he goes in the tank and pouts. Corey Hallet, cmon? Bunch, he's so up and down. And Marques, he just disappears anymore in the clutch. The seniors have let not us, but themselves down. I hate to say it, but I see complancency and 4 seniors who have been to the NCAA tourney, and that are packing it in. This performace honestly made me sick tonight.

I just had to say this...I sat in the stands near a long-time high school coach tonight, and his most repitive comment was...I cant believe how poor the decision-making was of the MU guards. The guard play is horrendous. Jhamar is a great talent dont get my wrong, but Shipman mainly, and Coleman dont know how to PLAY BASKETBALL. SAD!

4 Seniors were pathetic tonight.

Marques Alston 28 minutes ONE (1) Uno REBOUND!

Delic 29 minutes, 2 rebounds.

Enough said!

Why did they stop getting the ball to Marques down low? I guess Shipman well you know air balls turn overs and the games over.Down a bunch with 5 minutes to go and MU plays match up zone,Dave for coach of the YEAR.

The NCAA bid is for FDU or CCSU to take. MU will be one and done in the NEC tourney.

We looked terrible. Was it coaching, was it the players?? Probably a combination of both. First off, this game was over in the first 8 minutes. When FDU led 25-24 with 12 minutes to go in the first half, I knew we were done. That isn't the way Monmouth plays basketball. They can't win games that get into shootouts. FDU controlled the tempo the entire game and it really cost us.

To the poster talking about Dave's record, let me ask you this. Who would rather see Monmouth play OOC??? There aren't that many conferences that are ranked lower than the NEC, therefore just about every game is an "up" game for Monmouth OOC. You want a schedule you can do real good against, look at Hampton's schedule from last season. Monmouth was the best team they played all year and got pummelled. Whether we like it or not, Monmouth is not in a conference that is considered a mid-major. So, you can either have Monmouth playing a schedule of creampuffs and D-2 schools or playing a tough non-conference schedule that helps prepare them for this time of year. Of course, when your team plays with no heart and looks like they lack on the court leadership, it doesn't matter how well prepared you are.

I have been reading this blog most of the season and I think I have read enough. It is a disgrace that adults are setting here saying that young men who have worked their entire life to acheive one goal have "little basketball IQ"!! All the players (well most of them) must have some sort of knowledge in this area or they would not be where they are, as most were recruited by more than just MU, so obviously someone saw something in them. A basketball team is like a well oiled machine and if it not firing on all cylinders then the team will not win - as was the case last night. The only time I see posts on this blog is to insult the members of the team following a loss. When they win, we have maybe 3 posts. It is completely unbelieveable. How about you take the effort you put into critizing the team and try praising them when they win!!!

Did you see the same game I did? For starters Ship wasn't in the game for the majority of the 2nd half after a TO and a missed basket gave Coach Calloway a flashback to last Mon. In my opinion Coach lost faith in his PG (& team) in general & let them fly solo until it looked like the could get within 10pts. did he show some attempt at coaching. Just an observation. Still rooting for the Hawks to get back to the tournament & win but with more enthusiam that was witnessed Mon. nite.
