We talked earlier this year about players leaving MU men's program prematurely for non-injury related reasons, and that there have been five departing since and including 2004-2005.
The Wagner number is six.
I will try and keep track of this stat for each NEC school for comparison's sake.
Is Vinson playing tonight? If he does not, I see MU running away with this game, much like the last two 18-24 pts spread, but if he does play, could see it somehwat closer, but still an MU W! Boylan Bazzazzstards Mount up!
I do not believe Vinson is playing..of course..it is always subject to change right up until game time.
Well then, my prediction is MU 75 Wagner 56
While I surely appreciate your following this blog, it would be unprofessional on my part to commment on what you also spoke of. You may take up your issues with those parties.
Wagner is a well-balanced, potentially troublesome though erratic team, even without Vinson. Should have won at Indiana State their last game.
Was MU's last two showings fact or fiction?
We'll have a clearer picture after tonight.
Indiana State by the way is 8-4 with an RPI (collegerpi.com) of 57 and is in the Missouri Valley Conference which includes Southern Illinois ,and the league has an RPI of No. 3...yes....3. So Wagner, unless ISU was missing some people (I don't know if they were, I don't think so), is very capable.
I copied these commnts over to here which may have been sent to the wrong topic...

With or without Durrel Vinson, I like MU 69 Wagner 56, as the Hawks continue to roll along. Tony, your prediction?
If...MU plays as it did over the weekend ...... MU, 65-59.
By the way..late word from Wagner SID...Vinson "not expected to play tonight."
I am going out about noon for most of the rest of the afternoon..expect to sign back onto the blog at some point briefly before the game....then after the game..the usual process..
I have to write the Press story for tomorrow which I hope to rather quickly post...and then head for home..perhaps in between for a few moments I can check the bog ...but mostly after I return home I will return to the blog.
Tony, how do see MU as only six points better than Wagner on their home court?
Tony,
Will we get a 'phantom' sighting tonight?
On the six points? Potentially difficult opponent in my opinion. And I am not sold yet on MU being quite as dominating as it appeared this past weekend
This is a blog that required some editing..
Tony baby cmon we have serious work to do here by talking about the hoops game. I have a problem with your prediction. Wagner is 3-8 with no wins over any quality wins. 4 of MU's wins are over quality teams, with St. Peters being the lone exception. With that said, and the momentum coming off the last two games, further supported by no Durrel Vinson, how do you see MU as only a 6 point favorite at Boylan, the home of the Bazzazztards?
My comment to you: My prediction is what it is, and let's not overdue the Boylan BZ's either.
And, the more I think about it, I shouldn't have published your comment at all. I shouldn't have to do any editing. Next time it doesn't run.
Re: Phantom. As of end of yesterday's practice, Phantom should at least be on the bench. Don't know that he'll see any time unless it's an MU blowout, but, I guess, you never know.
