It means MU plays the toughest non-conference schedule every single year, unlike the girls team that plays about 7 cupcakes and every mens team in the NEC does the same and then plays like 2 where they are supposed to lose....What does this all mean? Another freakin NEC title for the great ones!

This is not a cupcake schedule.

Rice? Hello!!

MU can't help it if Rider is awful. Rest of the non-conference schedule is solid.

Frankly..I'd like to see the men play a schedule a little more like this..add one or two other biggies (Seton Hall, and a mid major).

Tony youre not understanding...clearly they play two or three teams they are supposed to get blown out by, then they play all softy schools they should either beat or that arent preparing them for conference...the only teamthis year on MU's schedule non-conference who I would say this about is HArtford...If you disagree please refute, but I believe this to be correct.

This (women's) is a competitive schedule, not overly demanding but not overly soft in my opinion.

Aside from Rider (maybe Drexel, haven't checked who they have played) who there is a slam dunk? St. Peter's is usually a pretty good women's team and just beat Syracuse (1-3,) but Orange still a Big East team.

Would like to see MU men start off minus about 3-4 built in losses.

Overall, I think Dave does an excellent job with the schedule, but I also would like to see him back off a little.

I have to say I agree with what Dave does Tony. I think in the long run it pays off, as we have seen with the Hawks winning 3 of the last 6 NEC tournies. At this level it comes down to three great days in March. AND, if the HAwks are to move to that next echelon, they need to start going 6-6 or 7-5 or whatever in the non-conference portion of the season. Big win tonight, I can feel it.

I basically also agree with the schedule .though..as I said..sometimes maybe he over does it. The idea is fine..go 7-5, 6-6 vs. a schedule like this with at least one notable win (Loyola Marymount?), and you're set up for something more than a 15-seed in the NCAAs. But can this team do it?
