Sean Dennis suspended for the season
Monmouth U. punter Sean Dennis has been suspended for the rest of the season "for violation of team rules" I was informed today by the MU sports information department which said Mike Pizzulli will handle the place kicking and kick offs and Andrew Mandeville the punting.
My comments: This is the third time in his career going back to last year (one game) and this year (the first two) Sean was suspended. I guess three strikes and he's out. It's a shame for him and, of course, the team. After a somewhat slow start this year Sean was hitting the ball well and had a field goal and PAT last week after Freddie Weingart (out for the season-knee injury) was hurt.
Sean has NFL aspirations and this can't help him.
Pizzulli has yet to attempt a PAT or field goal in a college game though he has kicked off off a few times for MU. I believe he is fairly accurate (I saw him kick at Red Bank Regional High School) and in practice for MU but, in my opinion, does not have the leg strength ( who does?, on FG attempts) of Dennis and probably Weingart. But he's going to get his shot and hopefully for MU will do well.
Mandeville punted the first two games this season. He won't be spectacular with sky scrapers but he'll be OK.

What did he do this time?
Even if I knew - and I don't yet - it would not be "professional" for me to blab it since the school hasn't announced it (nor will it). If you know someone or who even know someone who knows someone on the team I'm sure you can find out. MU is a very small communmity.
