Please use this on MU football thoughts..forgot to enable comments on the other one

Ok..here's how we see it now....MU beats SFPA next week and Stony Brook beats Wagner.and then MU beats Albany on the last week...all these scenarios have MU winning the last two games....

BUT wait...

I just realized this, MU needs an RMU win over Albany this week so that RMU then beats Sac Heart on the final day and finishes with one loss to MU..and MU beats Albany on the last weekend forging the necessary three-way tie with MU, SBU (which beats CCSU) and RMU..

But if RMU loses next week to Albany that means MU, Albany..and SBU are probably tied going into the final week...But if MU beats Albany it knocks Albany out of a three-way tie and if SBU wins over CCSU they win the tie-breaker with MU. Is this for real? Ouch. So MU could beat Albany and hand SBU the Gridiron Classic berth. Wow.

Of course if SBU loses its final to SBU, MU wins outright. Of if there are upsets next week or the last week it further complicates matters.

This is not etched in stone..anybody see it any differently??

As for today..MU could have won like by 40-7 or there abouts. Game had disaster written all over it until the very near end. MU has rolled up over 700 yards of offense the last two weeks but has scored only a total of only 36 points.

Defense has been outstanding and was truly on another level today.

One more thing. Many folks came up to me mentioning the Middle South-Ocean game Friday night. I know this is a college blog but was anyone happy to see the MS streak end?.. Sad? ...any thoughts on that?

If we win out do we still share the conference? Is there a tie breaker for the conference?

If MU ties for first place it is recognized as co-champion which has taken place in 2004, 2003, '98, and '96. MU has never won the title outright.
