MU vs. Rider predictons

Please post your predictions on this blog.

As for me:

MU had a spirited practice Wednesday which included Bunch who is expected to be a "go" for the game.

I believe MU will come out more fired up and determined than in recent games and lead a good part of the night.

But they're going to need something from the Bunch/Hallett combination. MU is getting around 10 points off the bench this year and half of that from Jhamar Youngbloood. Last year it got about 20 ppg from its reserves.

It may play its "you now what off" on defense but it's going to need some fire power, also, to beat Rider. It's not going to win 51-50 as it did over SPC.

It's a ""winnable" game but I don't see the Hawks having quite enough to win it unless one or two players produce performances beyond what they have shown most of the season......

Rider, 68-62.

MU is due to win at the Zoo, and we are hopeful fans. Plus MU has played a grueling schedule, every team theyve played I would say is very good except the two teams MU beat, who are both decent. We have a young backcourt that seems to be adjusting. This game is a rivalry, and Bunch will be back to boost in the frontcourt. And, its thursday which means payday for me at work, Im happy and optomistic.

A few more hours and see ya at the Zoo tonight! Lets go Hawks.

Rider has no one to match up with Marques Alston. I think that he will be able to utilize the mis-matches in the post as well as on the perimeter. Corey Hallet and John Bunch, should the Hawks win, will need to combine for 14 points 10 rebounds and 5 blocks between them, and do a reasonable job on Jason Thompson. I believe that the Hawks will win, I think I said 67-63. GO MU!

Hey TG,

I was just checking App.com to see if there was an article on the game and stumbles across this site. I think this is great to give a forum to Hawks fans, supporters, ex Hawks like myself, and anyone who follows Monmouth sports. I am glad I found your blog, good to see this kind of attention given to Monmouth sports, specfically hoops. I will be at the game tonight, and hope that the team can pull things together and get a big win tonight.

Jason Krayl.....hmmm. who are you again?

Hi Jason. Great to hear from you. Just goes to show you. People are still coming upon this blog.

Would be great to hear from you as often as possible as...I am sure..your knowledge of basketball, especially MU's style, and its current roster, would be of tremendous value to everyone.

PS..your Dad finally went off in practice yesterday (Wednesday). Don't know what took him so long.

Hey TG

How about
MU-60
RU-59

Jayson Good to hear from you too. Hope the hawks win tonite.
I cannot believe we have not won in the ZOO since 96. That game was a great game. Remember that like yesterday. Adieitis steals from Charles Smith with 5 seconds left and makes 2 foul shots. Great game. Wayne Szoke came in after the game and said Its always great to beat those guys.

Go Hawks
