MU football vs. San Diego
While we will be running stories in the Press pertaining to game every day beginning
Tuesday and I will post key game notes later in the week, thought folks way want to
begin talking about it now. So this would be the place to do it until perhaps later in the week.
Please for now g-o to the USD web site for the latest info about their team.
Even though USD lost Saturday it was to a full 63-scholarship 1-AA team. Basically
this game is for the 1-AA "Mid Major"" championship but also seems to represent MU's
first legit shot at a 1-AA National Top 25 Ranking.
What might be keys to the game, what kind of crowd to you expect, anyone traveling a long distance to the game??..how emotional is this game for anyone??etc. etc. etc.????

Think coach Callahan gets a job offer from a bigger school if he wins this game?

I would have to think that Coach Cal is a Monmouth lifer.
Callahan told me this afternoon his goal is to see MU go to the 1-AA limit of 63 scholarships.
Did he say when the 63 limit would be reached?
No...he did not. This was more of a personal opinion, I beleive, than a school determination, though I beleive Gaffney is thinking along those lines.
I am running a story on Callahan in the Wednesday Press..will have his full quote (s) in there....
I will probably put it on line tonight..it's not even finished yet!!
Was going over USD stats today for our Game Day Box on Saturday....impressive.

I also said that Monouth would someday be on par with a school like Delaware.
