This was a great game and but the refs really missed a lot of calls. The hawks controlled the ball for most of the game and certainly missed a few golden opportunities to score but their keeper is pretty good and prevented the scores.
We definately look strong and should go in to the NEC tourney with a full healthy squad.
I agree with freethrow. I think the Hawks played sme of the best soccer of the season.
We need Damon Wilson to hit his stride. He works soooo hard and has sooo much speed, but it is the results that go on the scoreboard.
The insenity of Miller, Amato and Grey really set the tone!!
The only issue I have with Damon's game is that he get's himself trapped in the corners and tries to trick himself out and he ends up losing the ball. In my opinion he needs to look to pass before he gets trapped. Speed kills but he needs to keep his head up and look for others breaking toward the goal. He is an awesome player and will probably score a few goals in the tourney. Let's hope it's a repeat of last year.
Love Damon. But I agree he needs to keep his head up, look for options rather than consistantly taking on two and three defenders himself. He works way to hard to end up loosing the ball as often as he does. I also think he waits for the "most perfect shot" too often and that gives the defenders time to come in on him and strip the ball.
Of couse I have the distinct advantage of watching from the sideline with no one trying to knock me off my feet and no effort required of me.
