I think this may be the toughest game we've had on the Great Lawn. Losing Damon will definately hurt us but we have depth on the bench so it won't hurt us as bad. His speed on the break will definately be missed. I'm predicting a 1-1 tie.

Congrats Hit a free throw you predicted the tie.
I agree with you about the depth on the bench. Certainly Damon was missed yesterday but the team pulled together and overcame the chalenge.
I'm sure they all would prefer a win but it was well played Soccer with the GM GK making the difference for his team.

Very nice article in the Press to day covering yesterday's game with George Mason.
I would also encourage people to check out College Soccer News recent addition of it's "Hard Working Team Players" selection recently posted. The introduction to the piece is as well written description of the "Soccer Mentality" as I've seen and Angelo Amato from Monmouth being included in the number two spot is as deserved as it can be.
Congrats Angelo, keep up the hard work your play and commitment is absolutley critical to the team success.

Iona (2-5-0), a 2-1 loser to Mount St. Mary's Wednesday visits MU 2 p.m. Saturday...I make the Hawks a two goal favorite!!!...

Thanks for the kudos. The hawks should beat Iona. I agree with Tony 2-0 is my prediction. I think we are going to score early in the first half. If we would have beat GM, that would have put us in the top 25. Regionally we are still sitting at #3.

The MU men should shut-out Iona.
I will go one more than you and hit a free throw and predict the
score: MU 3 Iona 0.

I think the Iona game will be interesting and might even be a 1-0 win for us. Not to go against Hit a Free Throw's lucky steak of predictions.
They have pretty good goalkeeping but we should certinly be able to get several shots on goal.
Go Hawks!

Does nyone have any coments on Saturday's outcome?
I ws able to be at the game on Saturday and looked as though we just came out flat and paid dearly for it. Second half we played much better and would have secured a clear vistory if we could have begun that game with the same intensity.

MU men's soccer visits 0-6 Princeton 7:30 p.m. Thursday Saturday but don't be fooled by the record. PU is coming off a 2-1 loss to No. 24 Cal when it had a late goal disallowed, also lost to Seton Hall 4-3....Has lost four games by one goal...

Alvin,

I know the Iona game surprised the heck out of me...

In reading about it, it seems MU dominated play but that didn't translate into the win column which - as we know - happens often in soccer.

I missed the game on Saturday but from what I heard we didn't look good at all. I'm sure that Rob will have the boys ready for the Princeton game. I'm predicting 1-0 victory for MU.
