MU men's soccer (3-1) vs. Delaware (0-4) Saturday 3 p.m. and MU women's games Friday and Sunday

A little bit about Delaware from the UD web site..It's last game - lost to Rutgers Tuesday 3-0

Delaware, playing one of its most challenging schedules ever, hasn't scored a goal in 274:42. The Hens have been shut out in three straight matches for the first time since October of 2005, but head coach Ian Hennessy said his squad is primed for a run in conference play.

"We continue to create but are having difficulty putting goals away at the moment," said Hennessy, whose Hens are 0-4 to start the season for the first time since 2000. "We were matched up well again tonight, but in the end it is the little details that are catching up. The effort is there and I hope that these games will help us make the conference tournament, our main goal this season. We have a tremendous group of young men and they will rebound from tonight."

The Blue Hens return to action on Saturday, when they finish their five-game road trip at Monmouth. Kick-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.

This will be one of those scary games because this UD team is hungry for a win and will go all out to win. Better teams seem to play down to their competition and dont give 100%. I really hope that doesn't happen on Saturday. We should beat these guys 2-0.

I agree with Hit Three-I have often see good teams play below thier true abilities due to the perceived level of competition in game. I don't think MU men will make that mistake on Saturday.
Delaware has talented players and an accomplished Coach. Don't let the current record there give you the wrong impression-on any give day....
I don't think our Coaching Staff will let the players underestimate the competition and I agree we should win 2-0

It was a tough mens game on Saturday. Delaware plays very physical and many of our guys were pushed to the ground. Damon received his second yellow card and red card so I believe he is out for the next game. Rob was not very happy with Damon's lack of control. Tommy Gray and Damon both scored in the game. Delaware eventually scored midway in to the second half.

As far as Damon's eligability to play in George Mason game, I think a straight red requires you sit out a game but two yellow's in same game do not jst add as two yellows toward the total of five requiring a sit out. Does anyone know for certain?
It would be a shame to have to play without him, but the depth is there on the bench to fill in for him well.

Well...I just spoke with McCourt and - however it works - Wilson is out. Looks like freshman Ryan Kinne will move up to his spot...Wilson is second in scoring to Gray with two goals....
