Today's men's hoop practice

Everyone practiced except red-shirt Adam Dobriansky (knee sprain, though he is now off crutches) and Yanvi "accident waiting to happen" Simpson (sprained ankle, also off crutches). Today Yaniv almost tripped over one of the steps at the foot of the bleachers (stumbled for a second) ...but he didn't!..so take that as a good sign.

Blue (first team) beat the white (second team) in a scrimmage, 22-0, as in zero. Blue has been dominating recently..one reason the return of to the "Blues" of PG Mike Shipman who had been a factor for the whites during his academic suspensions.

A few highlights.. nice bounce pass form Shipman to Alston for a layup..and a Dejan Delic one hand, left-hand swish of a drive to the hoop.

Corey Hallett complained of feeling sick. If he were not able to play for some reason I would think Bunch starts and Rickie gets some time at center, but MU also would go a lot with the three guards, though they may anyway

Some practice emphasis was placed on defending guard SFNY's Jamaal Womack who burned MU with 4 for-7 from deep as SFNY hit 5-for-10 from downtown in MU loss to the Terriers last week, and Robert Hines who had 20 points and nine rebounds in the SFNY win.

Practice was intense - but loose - if such a combination is possible. It's amazing what a few wins can do for the morale.
