MONMOUTH ANNOUNCES 2007 FOOTBALL RECRUITING CLASS

Crop includes 11 in-state signees and MU’s first player from California

WEST LONG BRANCH–Monmouth University Head Football Coach Kevin Callahan announced the addition of 15 student-athletes to the Hawk football program on Wednesday.

“Our coaches did an outstanding job of establishing a large pool of talented prospects,” said Callahan. “From that pool, we were able to land an excellent class, and meet our positional needs for this year. Academically and athletically, it is a very talented group, that could impact Monmouth football in the near future.”

The National Letter of Intent signees include 11 in-state athletes, three from Maryland and one from California, the first MU recruit to hail from the Golden State. Callahan and his staff have brought in 11 defensive players to help ease the loss of nine starting defenders from last year’s NEC Championship team.
