Casey in waiting/Ocean getting ready for Morristown
Those of you waiting for Casey Gaynor of TR East to take his shot at a record 34th Shore Conference victory will have to continue to wait..for how long?? Christmas? Who knows?
The game has been postponed today (Thursday)..won't be played Friday as Toms River prepares its facilities for Saturday's NJSIAA Tournament..sooo...maybe it's Sunday.. then again, maybe not.
Please check out Saturday's Rally for a preview of the Ocean-Morristown NJSIAA Group III championship game which includes a feature on Ocean left-hander Eric Hinke. The junior (5-1) has become the team's ace along with swinging a big bat behind slugger Keith Weinkofsky.
Meanwhile, our Carpenter Cup team swings into action Monday vs. defending Cup champion Philadelphia Catholic 1 p.m. at University of Pennsylvania.
As for the 2006 Asbury Park Press All-Shore Baseball Team..it will be published Sunday June 18.
