Re: the MAC

Everyone happy ?( I know some are upset with the concessions). How long do figure until it's open?. Will something else come up to snag it again?? Any suggestions for MU on amenities in the arena, etc?

Hey Tony,
Definetely a deluxe concession.....
Possibly look for a local Mickey D's owner to francise in....
A play area for the kids....(will allow work-study time for the education majors) plasma, plasma, plasma-halways, bathrooms, playrooms(never to young to be a Hawk fan), ticket area, and a "Jet" sound effect.............

Tony,

I'm just trying to get a handle on how big it's going to be. With a 4100 seat capacity how does that match up with, say the Rothman Center? Do you know their capacity?

As Jackie Gleason would say (as I date myself) " You're a riot Alice, a regular riot."

You know what.....? MU will NOT be the biggest in the NEC.

I definitely stand corrected. FDU holds 5,000 (when totally open).

I never gave FDU a thought (my bad) mainly because it's almost never open fully.

They listed over 4,000 for last year's NEC final with Monmouth....

Here are the NEC gym capacities..per the NEC media guide...

CCSU - 2654
FDU - 5000
LIU - 2500
MU - 2500
Mount - 3121
New QPac - 4000
RMU - 3056
SHU - 2100
SFNY - 45. Just kidding - 1,200.
SFPA - 3500
Wagner - 2100

MU will be number two, but will out draw everyone..(if the team is good)

I am soooo happy to see that the MAC is finally going to be built.
Let's not jink it with all the "what if this happens" comments.
All the sports will benefit.
The alumni and students will be proud to attend the events, as I was when Boylan Gym opened.
Was a student before, during, and after the construction of BG.
The MAC will bring a smile to my face when I see it completed.
Onward and upward.

Right on about that....(seats as close to floor as possible would be my suggestion)

I'd like to know how those 2 WLB idiots on the board justify their negative positions on the MAC. Aren't they supposed to weigh the testimony of the experts & the local police before they vote, and not just keep vomiting their usual 'I'm still firmly against it' messages?
