New MU Hoops Poll question

Started this inside on another blog comment, but before receiving any feed back thought it might merit its own blog.

Thus..here it is:

Who was the MVP on last year's MU men's NEC championship team? You may only pick one player....

Heck..I'm having trouble answering this one..

Tyler?
Chris?
Marques?
Bunch?
Deki?

Bazaz?

I'd say Corey Hallet, for bringing emotion to the team and for allowing John Bunch to flourish in the stretch.

Big John Bunch dunk at the end of the half,he rock the basket so hard that the 35 second clock went down and it delayed the game an extra 16 minutes.FDU sat in their locker room talking trash and MU got it going with Alstons dunk, and Tyler and Chris finished the job.So I go with Bunch and Alston.

I am definate MU fan, and I am pretty sure that the shot clock on that end of the floor just wasn't working during the first half. If I recall, there was a lot of controversy that MU was shooting at that end and had little to no idea how much time they had left to shoot. As for Big John's dunk, i cannot recall, but i am pretty sure that the shot clocks were not working from the start. The delay at half time as due to repair though. PS: Keep up the great work with this blog!!!!

Hi all,

First off great work on this blog. It is great that loyal MU fans have a place to discuss such an incredible basketball program.

As for the shot clock issues at the FDU game last year, I am 99% sure that the shot clocks were not working from the start. There was a lot of controversy on the radio broadcast (was unable to attend that game) because MU was shooting at that end of the floor and really had no way of knowing how much time they had remaining to shoot. As for the Big John dunk, I cannot really remember that specific play (thought he probably did), but the shot clock problems were an issue the entire half. I believe they ended up putting one on the floor at that end of the court for the second half, due to the inability to repair the above the basket clock during their halftime delay.

Thanks again for such a great site!!!
