Miles Austin plays for Dallas

The rookie wide out of the Dallas Cowboys from MU made his professional debut Sunday on special teams where he tied for the special teams lead with two tackles. He is the first former MU player to participate in an NFL game.

Both tackles were on kickoffs in the 3rd Qtr. I'm a Giant fan and have always disliked the Cowboys, but I found myself watching mainly the Cowboy game instead just to see if Miles would get in. I saw both tackles. First one was a nice hit were Miles didn't even go down. On the second one, he fought though and around a blocker then out hustled one of his own players to run down the returner. Both were solos. After the first tackle, you could see his excitement. Good for him. I think the Cowboys picked up a diamond in the rough.

Great job by Miles. He's showing he belongs in the NFL. Seems like he's back in NJ making the same great plays we've seen over and over again.

I wish I would have seen it. I was too busy jumping off the Ben Franklin Bridge after the Eagles lost to New Orleans. More importantly it shows MU recruits they can play for the Hawks and make it into the NFL.
