Re: Monmouth football. Forgot to include LB Mike Castelleno (Freehold Township) among list of fifth-year seniors for 2005. This is the most veteran group the football team has ever had. Will make for a lot of new faces in 2007. That's where the first group of scholarship recruits which committed this Feb. may make their first mark. Don't think that many will impact this though certainly the standout wide out, Brian Callahan from North Jersey has a great shot.


First full day of high school baseball Saturday saw #1 TR East, #3 Free. Twp., #7 Freehold all lose, though Freehold Township and Freehold fell to other ranked teams, (#2 CBA and #9 Wall) respectively. Look for Raiders and Freehold Township to bounce back though Brick, which defeated TR East, 12-0, is likely for real with FJ Luchetti and a solid mound staff as is Brick Memorial led by the pitching of Brian Streilein.
